Pentair Pentek's GAC Series Cartridges are designed to effectively reduce unwanted tastes and odors, including chlorine taste and odor, from your drinking water. The construction of the cartridge allows for maximum contact between the water and carbon, ensuring optimal adsorption. The water enters the cartridge at one end, passes through the entire length of the carbon bed, and exits the other end, while an internal expansion pad minimizes channeling or bypass.
Before the water exits the cartridge, a post-filter helps reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles from the filtered water. The post-filter is permanently fastened to an innovative support basket, ensuring that it is firmly seated and eliminating any potential for bypass.
The GAC Series Cartridges are available in a variety of sizes and flow rates, and effectively provide good general-purpose drinking water filtration. These cartridges are NSF International tested and certified, providing peace of mind to the user.
The cartridges are designed to fit all 20" Pentair Pentek Big Blue or other 20" heavy-duty housings, and can replace any 20" x 4.5" carbon filter cartridge. With a 25,000-gallon capacity, the cartridges should be replaced every six months or when a drop in water pressure or water quality is noticed.
The effective reduction of bad taste and odors from the drinking water is a key feature of the Pentair Pentek GAC Series Cartridges. This ensures that the water provided is of high quality and suitable for general-purpose drinking water purposes.
